Our collection of historical artifacts is now approaching 8,000 items. We take pride in our facilities for accountable, long-term preservation of your donated treasures. You can be confident they are in good hands with IAHS.

We welcome donations of documents, photographs and other objects that may shed light on the earlier times in the San Jacinto Mountains and the communities of Idyllwild, Pine Cove, Garner Valley, Keen Camp/Mountain Center, Alandale and Pinewood. Our collection committee reviews all such donated artifacts and determines whether they are appropriate to add to our collection.

If you have something to donate, we ask that you bring it to the museum and fill out a standard form which identifies you for our records and instructs us how to deal with the item if we should determine that it’s inappropriate for our collection. Because our office is not staffed on a regular basis, please call ahead or email prior to your visit.

If you wish to retain original documents or photos, we can scan a copy for our collection and return the original. We also accept items on loan to use or display for a limited time. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and IRS regulations.
