Here’s what’s coming up at the IAHS in 2025!

Saturday, August 2, 2025 – IAHS Annual Meeting:  2:00 – 4:00 PM  at the Idyllwild Public Library

Join us for our Annual meeting at the Idyllwild Public Library to find out more about the museum’s activities, meet our Board of Directors and enjoy an interesting presentation about the history of the Idyllwild area. Steve Lech, renowned Researcher of the History of Riverside County, will present “Crocker’s Folly – The Development of, and Opposition to, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway”  his most recent book.  Steve’s credits are many, including author of “Along the Old Roads A History of the Portion of Southern California That Became Riverside County, 1772-1893″; “Riverside in Vintage Postcards – Resorts of Riverside County – Riverside’s Mission Inn – Riverside 1870-1940” (Arcadia Publications); “More Than a Place to Pitch a Tent – The Stories Behind Riverside County’s Regional Parks; For Tourism and a Good Night’s Sleep – J. Win Wilson, Wilson Howell, and the Beginnings of the Pines-to-Palms Highway as well as Editor, The Riverside County Chronicles (A Journal of the History of Riverside County). Steve will have books for sale at the meeting. You won’t want to miss this presentation!

Saturday, August 30, 2025 –  Free Ice Cream Social:  Noon until the ice cream’s gone!

Enjoy ice cream sundaes and root beer floats on the museum patio on this Labor Day Saturday.

2025 HOME TOUR TICKET SALES INFORMATION

THE LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS ONLINE IS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11.

THE LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS AT THE MUSEUM IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7.

TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY OF HOME TOUR AT THE SALES BOOTH NEAR THE MONUMENT.

 Tickets this year will be $30 per person. This event is our major fund-raiser, supplying over one-third of the annual operating budget.

Each year IAHS offers public access to several homes, that vary in age, style, and setting. Each home is opened to the public for viewing both inside and out. These homes will introduce visitors to a range of mountain lifestyles. This is NOT a driving tour. Be advised, homes may not be wheelchair accessible and walking surfaces may be rocky or uneven. Good walking shoes, a hat and water are recommended.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day at the Village Garden on the museum grounds, where local artists will be displaying their work. Join us for a day to remember!
